We meet guests and show them round whenever possible. Occasionally we ask our housekeeper to step in and introduce ourselves as soon as possible. We live just around the corner and are on hand for any problem that might possibly occur.
We have flyers in the cottage about local attractions, we email guests with ideas about what to do when they are staying and we point them to the guest feedback file which is brim full of further ideas.
